Who we are

The data controller is Martin Lungley, trading as Bridgecombe House Education. Contact us at enquiries@bridgecombehouse.com. Our postal details are available on the Legal information page.

Information we collect

We may collect names, contact details, information supplied through an enquiry, and information about a learner’s age, education, strengths, needs and intended pathway. We may also collect limited technical information needed to operate and secure the website.

How we use information

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, assess whether Bridgecombe may be suitable, provide and manage educational services, communicate with families, maintain appropriate records and meet legal, accounting or safeguarding responsibilities.

We process information where this is necessary to respond to a request before entering a contract, to perform a contract, to meet a legal obligation, or for our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service. Where consent is required, it may be withdrawn at any time.

Children’s information

Information about a learner is normally supplied by, or with the knowledge of, a parent or guardian. We use it only for appropriate educational, administrative and safeguarding purposes and limit it to what is reasonably needed.

Sharing and international services

We may use trusted providers for website hosting, email, forms, payments and learning services. Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. We use appropriate providers and safeguards where required. We do not sell personal information.

Google Translate may process limited technical information when a visitor chooses to use it on the International site.

How long information is kept

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the enquiry or educational relationship and to meet relevant legal, accounting, safeguarding and record-keeping responsibilities.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your information, or object to its use. Contact us using the email address above. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Updates

We may update this notice when our services or legal responsibilities change.
